About
Imeson Park is located in Platte Woods on the east side of Prairie View road across from Platte Woods United Methodist church. It features a large 6 acre green space, a 1/4 mile gravel walking trail, and the Imeson house that is available to rent for parties, meetings and events. The park's outdoor spaces are open from dusk to dawn.
Imeson park is named after Joseph and Beryl Imeson, who in 1947 bought the property and stone cabin which they spent 20 years converting into their own home. Joseph and Beryl graciously donated the house and surrounding property to the City of Platte Woods in 2015 with the wish for the property to become a park for all to enjoy.
Rental Rates
The Imeson House is a fantastic indoor event space for your next party, meeting or other events. We offer reservations for both Residents and Non-Residents of The City of Platte Woods.
The house is available to rent between the hours of 9:00AM and 10:00PM. All guest must vacate the park property by 10:00PM.
Guests will have access to our main event space, a catering kitchen and one restroom. While the house is available to rent out, the outside space at the park will still be accessible to the public as it is a public park.
Guests will be required to park on our paved surfaces that includes the six parking spaces behind the house, the front circle drive and along the driveway. All overflow parking will be directed to park across the street at the Platte Woods United Methodist Church.
